James Vernon Pitts

We are saddened to announce the passing of James Vernon Pitts.

Those of you who knew James know that he had an enormous heart. He was a man who turned his life around and always gave of himself to others.

He leaves behind his loving wife Jeannette Michelle and their children Jay, Jesse, Jerrica and his two baby girls Jarriah and Ja'Nessa.

Comics Reaching Out was begun by James for the purpose of helping local people in need. James used his connections in the entertainment industry to produce local shows and donate the proceeds to people in need. Through this organization, through his church and through his comedy James gained a great many friends and admirers.

Benefit Comedy Show

James was a man who was admired and liked by so many people. He had an emormous life in addition to being a very popular stand-up comic.

Many of the comics in this area want to help Michelle and Jay. The best way we know how is to do what we do best. We do comedy.

We will be having a benefit show. All proceeds from the door plus a very generous percentage of the food and beverage sales will go directly to Michelle and Jay. Please come out and have a hardy laugh with us and help us take care of one of our own.

The show will be at Snappers. Snappers is a club James worked quite often. It's located in Palm Harbor on US 19 just a little north of Alderman Rd. and just a little south of Klosterman.
